Nigel Hawke’s Thorne Farm Racing Blog 05 February 2018
As often happens in this game you will have a period where luck plays a major part in the results,
Pearl Royale made a terrible mistake with a circuit to go and then fell at the next fence, it’s the first time she’s put a foot wrong and she paid for it. Pearl Royal is a bit stiff and sore but nothing serious and hopefully she’ll be back soon. Le Musee nearly sprang a surprise at Wincanton when he was a fast finishing second on his first run over hurdles, Tom Cannon rode him and was very impressed, he’ll be out again in a couple of weeks. On the point to point scene Double Captain won at Wadebridge with Naomi Simms on board, it was a great result as he’s been very consistent all season, they both deserve it. Its’s going to be a Fairly quiet week with Rejaah running Wednesday at Ludlow, then we have Level Of Intensity running on Friday at Kempton and then Alminar and Farmer Boy at Exeter on Sunday.
