Nigel Hawke’s Thorne Farm Racing Blog- Friday 20th July 2018

Last week Rejaah went to Market Rasen for a class 3 Handicap Chase, she was given a brilliant ride by Tom Cannon to finish 2nd to only be beaten by 2 lengths. She ran an absolute blinder and was just unlucky not to win. Calin du Brizais went to Uttoxeter last Tuesday night for a Class 4 Handicap Hurdle. He tried his absolute heart out to finish 4th and was given a great ride by Kieren Buckley, the trip was just a little on the short side for him.

This week Georgina Joy ran at Uttoxeter on Wednesday. She was partnered by Connor O’Farrell in the ‘Browns Scrap Metal Processing Novices’ Handicap Chase’. Georgina tried her absolute heart out and was given a peach of a ride to finish 2nd. She is such a lovely genuine mare and deserves to get her head in front. Nigel says’ Georgina is a credit to have for the Thorne Farm Racing club, she has ran another brilliant race and really deserves to win very soon’.

Our 3 lovely 2 year olds purchased from France have now gone out to grass to give them time to grow and we will look forward to getting them back in next year.
