Friday 27th July 2018

Although not having any runners this week, the team at Thorne Farm have still been extremely busy. Most of the horses are all back in work now but we still have the last lot to bring in next week. They will have shoes put back on and start their road walking for a few weeks. The horses that came in on the 1st July, which included our yard superstar Speredek and Pearl Royale are nearly at the end of their walking period. Next week is when they will start to canter again.

It is always a nice feeling when the horses start cantering again as you know it wont be too long before the season is in full swing. Not only are we looking forward to seeing how our horses have come on from last season, we also have a lovely collection of exciting new prospects.

Next week we have 2 entries at Worcester on Tuesday, with Lord Ballim and Nachi Falls both entered in the ‘Angel Hotel Pensham Handicap Hurdle’. We also have the 1 entry on Thursday at Stratford with Petergate in the ‘ Priority SMS Selling Hurdle’.

Upcoming Entries

Lord Ballim – Tuesday at Worcester

Nachi Falls – Tuesday at Worcester

Petergate – Thursday at Stratford

Flints Legacy- 6 year old grey mare by Sagamix. Ready to go Novice Chasing this season. ( 40% left available)

Kapgarde / Doubly Guest– Nice filly by one of our favourite sires, very mature looking for her age with an excellent pedigree, a good walker and a very correct individual. Dam won four and was placed in a grade two rated 137

Arcadio/ Regents Ballerina– Strong gelding by a sire that’s getting lots of bumper winners, he’s a half-brother to two winners and from the family of the mighty Regents Pride and has a lot of scope, should be a lovely horse in time.

Kayf Tara/ Brackets – Very sharp forward going filly by the very successful Kayf Tara. Closely related to Pure Faith who was listed and grade two placed. She’s very athletic and will come to hand quickly.
