We have had a busy & exciting week culminating with our Nigel Hawke Racing Club open evening on Saturday 1st September & our Open day for invited guests on the Sunday 2nd September.
It was a lovely warm late summer evening with 40 members of the club who saw their Racing Club horses paraded & Nigel commentating on each individual horse. The club horses for this season are:
Alloneamongstamillion
Atlantic King
Ballymagroaty Boy
Georgina joy
Mead vale
It is not too late to join the racing club any enquiries give Steve Winfield a call on 07739437574.

On Sunday we held our Thorne Farm Racing Open day. The weather enabled the six paraded horses to gleam in the sunshine and over 100 invited guests saw Speredek, Tanrudy, Verbitude, Pearl Royale, Rejaah and Deauville Crystal. Speredek particularly enjoyed all the photos & attention. Nigel gave a full commentary on each horse & explained about the races that they will be aimed for. Speredek will be aimed for the Haldon Gold Cup in November at Exeter. Verbitude will go Juvenile hurdling in October/ November. Pearl Royale will hopefully go to Carlisle in November for a Grade 2 mares chase and Tanrudy will possibly go for a 3m hurdle and then onto novice chasing.

We also showed off a small elite selection of young horses for sale from France & Ireland to a very captive audience. For further information on these horses please visit our website or give Nigel a call on 07769 295839

On Tuesday Lamh Ar Lamh went to Stratford for the ‘Bet at Racinguk.com Mare’s Handicap Hurdle’. We were absolutely delighted with her performance finishing 3rd. Now that she has learnt to settle she should pick up a race or two at this time of year.
We have a very busy week ahead of us with lots of entries coming up.
