What a brilliant week we have had here at Thorne Farm.

On Saturday Le Musee went to Newbury for the ‘Ladbrokes Handicap Hurdle’ (Class 2). Partnered by David Noonan the pair finished 2nd behind the Nicky Henderson trained horse ‘Champ’ with only 4 lengths between them.

On Sunday Pearl Royale ran at Carlisle for the ‘Smarkets Betting Exchange Houghton Mares Chase’ (Listed Race). Having made all under Danny Cook Pearl jumped fantastically to win by a very comfortable 6 lengths. Nigel says “ it is lovely to see Pearl’s success at Carlisle, we have always had great faith in her and now she is starting to show of her ability”.

On Wednesday Ballymagroarty Boy travelled to Haydock for the ‘Watch Racing UK In HD Conditional Jockeys handicap hurdle’. Partnered by Tom Buckley our yard conditional jockey, the pair took up the lead 3 from home and won comfortably by 2 lengths. Nigel says “he was a horse that needed time, so we waited patiently with him. He will be a lovely horse to go to war with this season.”

We have a few entries for the week ahead of us, starting with Speredek in the Peterborough Chase at Huntingdon on Sunday. We then have three entries at Uttoxeter on Tuesday which include Sienna Royale, Tanrudy and Alminar.

Upcoming Entries

Speredek – Sunday at Huntingdon

Sienna Royale – Tuesday at Uttoxeter

Tanrudy – Tuesday at Uttoxeter

Alminar – Tuesday at Uttoxeter
