Nigel Hawke’s Thorne Farm Racing

Blog –

Friday 17th May 2019

The enigmatic The Boole Bee has won twice in the last five days, at Warwick Saturday and Perth Wednesday.

She is very tough and thrives on her work and racing and will continue running through the summer as long as she’s enjoying it. She’s got limitless energy and enthusiasm so the worst thing you can do with her is give her a break, she’s a very difficult ride and hates going out in the paddock only last week she got rid of the winning jockey Tom Buckley at the bottom of our gallop but he loves her and won’t hear a bad word said about her, Toms strike rate for this season is fifty percent long may that last.

Also a mention to our travelling head girl Lucy who does really well to hang on to her at the races, She’s can be a real handful.

We ran two bumper horse at Newton Abbot on Wednesday. Malina Ocarina is a homebred and defied her odds by running a great race to finish third surprising everyone, Clonmonarch finished fourth after looking the winner turning in and will be winning soon, both are nice young horses with nice futures.
