Nigel Hawke’s Thorne Farm Racing Blog 07 July 2017

All back to normal after last week, the funeral was massive and fifteen hundred people turned out to pay their respects. People from all walks of life came, the boss will be sadly missed. We had two runners at Newton Abbot today, Flasheen has to improve and Atlantic King should run well if he builds on his last run. Nachi Falls and Pomme  run on Sunday at Market Rasen and both are in good order. Nachi is having his first run over fences and has schooled very well at home. Pommes last run was a bit of a mystery, she’s a decent mare who will come good. The annual Thorne Farm golf day was held on Thursday and was won in a very impressive fashion by Eddie Buckley who completely outclassed the opposition, a very weary Mark Phillips finished second but was never the class of the winner, Nigel pulled up!!!
