Nigel Hawke’s Thorne Farm Racing Blog 14 July 2017

Pomme did us proud!

Last Sunday was a good day as the ever promising Pomme showed everyone what she has been showing us for a while, she cruised along in front jumping well and won as she liked. Watching that race it’s hard to imagine that she couldn’t even get around Newton Abbot last time and that remains a mystery, needless to say she probably doesn’t like the track and won’t be going back there in a hurry. There is a similar race back at Market Rasen in two weeks and she’ll probably go for that. Nachi Falls ran another great race finishing third and in doing so has a record of fourteen runs and finishing in the frame ten times considering he first ran for us last July, he has won and been placed over hurdles, fences and on the flat. There are No runners this week but we are very busy now and will be until next April, we’re not complaining though, we’ve got some lovely horses. We will be at the Newmarket sales this week where there are three days of decent flat horses for sale hopefully we can find another winner or two.
