Nigel Hawke’s Thorne Farm Racing Blog 15 September 2017

Thorne Farm has a magnificent day at Hexham….

We had two runners at Hexham on Thursday and two brilliant winners, It was a great day and worth the long trip! Heart Of Kernow won the novice hurdle easily even though he was very green and inexperienced, he quickened up from two out to win by six lengths. This was only his second time on the course after one run last season, we gave him a long break and got him in early with the intention of winning races like this. Take A Break on the other hand was back on the track after a five hundred plus day absence, he jumped really well and was never in danger. It was a great effort by all the staff at Thorne Farm Racing to get him back in the winners enclosure after such a long absence, he’s had leg trouble and is a hard horse to get fit. Both of our impressive winners were ridden by the talented Sean Bowen, we had two very great wins! We continue to get the rest of the horses in shape and there are loads to look forward too so keep an eye on the blog for all the news and updates.

One of our exceptional winners, Heart Of Kernow ridden by Sean Bowen at Hexham.
