Nigel Hawke’s Thorne Farm Racing Blog 22 September 2017

We had three runners at Newton Abbot today, Dharoos is having his first run over hurdles, he jumps well and is fit from a run on the flat recently. While it’s a competitive little race we think he’s a nice horse. Calin Du Brizais runs in the chase and he always runs a good race. Georgina Joy runs in the other novice hurdle, she’s looking to build on her last run. There will be loads of schooling now every week, the ones that impress the most are Level Of Intensity and Sirmix, both young horses that have not run over jumps but do stand out. Also Tequila Secret has been schooling very well and could run in a couple of weeks’ time, she was placed in a bumper and is well bred. Next weeks entries are at Perth where we have Pomme, Atlantic King and Take A Break, all these horses are going there with good chances. Take a Break won last time and Pomme and Atlantic King were both placed.
