It has been an emotional week…
Sadly we lost Lake Placid this week, he was a lovely kind horse who had a future over hurdles. It’s always very sad when this happens and the staff in the yard feel it more than most. On Saturday at Wincanton Take A Break runs and has an each way chance, he ran really well at Worcester and has the visor back on. On Sunday Deauville Crystal runs at Sandown, this mare is very genuine and loves the track. We have a busy week next week, on Tuesday at Hereford Deckers Delight is in over the fences, she’s not very big but she does jump well. Also on Tuesday at Lingfield we could have Farmer Lad race, Hes a staying type who needs soft ground and a trip. On Wednesday at Exeter we have Midnight Request, Speredek, Deauville Crystal and Atlantic King as all possible runners. On Thursday at Taunton Dharoos is entered and the strangely named Mutoondresdashorse is in at Ludlow,he’s a nice horse to go hurdling and has some decent flat form.

Get involved with the Nigel Hawke Racing Club
The club gives an exciting opportunity for racing-lovers to share in the thrills of racehorse ownership without the need for the usual major expense. The new club will always have four horses running in its colours and, uniquely to Nigel Hawke Racing Club, Nigel will also introduce selected young horses to the racecourse by running them in club colours.
Fees to join the new club are £45 per month or £515 when paying annually in advance. This makes enjoying the thrills of horse racing available and affordable. (Members must be 18+).
