Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone!
We’ve had a very Merry Christmas here at Thorne Farm thanks to Pearl Royal and Camron De Chaillac. Firstly Pearl Royal won on Boxing Day and was very impressive, It was her first run over fences and she dominated and outclassed her opponents in what looked a very competitive race. Hopefully she’ll keep on improving and will step up a bit more next time. Camron De Chaillac also ran on Boxing Day, finishing a respectable third and we then decided to run him again on Saturday at Taunton with the inspired addition of a visor, he battled on and won. Camron is a character to say the least and it’s thanks to his lass Katie Bennett that he’s actually won a race as he’s a real handful at home, she rides him every day and she has always said he will win. Next weeks entries are Lady Mix at Lingfield on Friday, Then on Saturday we have Speredek, Level Of Intensity and possibly Lord Ballim at Sandown also we have a nice young horse called Alminar at Chepstow racing.

Get involved with the Nigel Hawke Racing Club
The club gives an exciting opportunity for racing-lovers to share in the thrills of racehorse ownership without the need for the usual major expense. The new club will always have four horses running in its colours and, uniquely to Nigel Hawke Racing Club, Nigel will also introduce selected young horses to the racecourse by running them in club colours.
Fees to join the new club are £45 per month or £515 when paying annually in advance. This makes enjoying the thrills of horse racing available and affordable. (Members must be 18+).
