Speredek strikes gold at Sandown…

We had a very successful weekend thanks to Speredek winning the feature race at Sandown on Saturday. He went off as hot favourite and after going nearly flat out with Gino Trail for most of the race, he asserted after the second to last lap and strode clear to win it easily in the end. Obviously we were all ecstatic and it means so much to a small yard to have a horse like Speredek, he puts other horses to shame because he’s so genuine and tough. On Sunday we had Samingarry and Double Captain running at Wadebridge and they both finished third, both running very respectable races. On the same card our ex inmate My King won the maiden ridden by stable amateur Kieren Buckley and trained by another Thorne Farm employee Joe Tickle, so a great weekend was had by all. The Entries this week at Taunton on Tuesday are Rejaah, Farmer Boy, Sir Mix and Alminar then on Wednesday we have Sin Sin at Ludlow, they are all possible runners at the moment.
